About the project
One of the biggest European Banks embarked on a journey to migrate 4,000 staff from Central London to Canary Wharf which began with the stripping out of existing CAT B space in October 2015.
Shop Design were approached to provide Management & Consultancy Services in early 2016 to help guide the Project through a number of challenging Sectional Completion dates.
One of the key deliverables was ensuring a snag free delivery, so ensuring the quality was achieved, Romas tackled the day to day Management activities.
The strategy was simple, the Project was a success and our involvement concluded with the delivery of a high end media space in December 2016.
Our services included some of the following:
- Responsible for overall project construction management, planning, design, programme controls and monitoring ensuring programme is delivered to time, budget and specification.
- Focal point for liaison with the project team, Consultants and Contractors.
- Review drawings – Design, MEP, Security, IT & advice on construction.
- Full project construction co-ordination, identify problems – find & offer solutions.
- Site set up & logistics strategy according to the project drawings & construction phases.
- Develop programme with project team, issue a look ahead to contractors.
- Develop team working strategies, support, lead and motivate team.
- Project quality management & delivery by the CDM-2015 (HSE) regulations.
- Track Client changes & Instructions, environmental, risk management.
- Zero Defects – snagging, handover management & documentation.
- Client support after handover.
